Wardrobe Basics 2: Draped Front Cardigan ~ Sat. Oct. 7th, 2-5:00 pm

Reinvent the draped front cardigan as only you can!  
Choice of rectangular garment with sleeves of your choice OR a more fitted approach to the draped front cardigan which can still have the sleeves of your choice!    Design and invention merge in a versatile wardrobe element you'll want to reproduce for years to come!   

Students learn sleeve design and creation as they create a unique wardrobe essential.  Two pattern choices - one free and the other purchased on-line.

Sewing notions (thread, pins, etc.)

Your own machine if you have one (we have one for you if you don't)

Scissors for paper, others for fabric

2.5 yards of jersey or knit fabric of your choice

Other fabrics for possible options 

Skills Learned:

Sleeves - various sleeves and their pattern shapes and how to make a sleeve and attach it to a garment

Finishing edges on knitwear

Using a serger / knit stitches on your home machine

needle and fabric selection
