Crimson and Clover Train Cases: Sundays Oct. 22nd & 29th, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Construct this fabulous soft case and advance your bag making skills.  The medium sized Crimson and Clover Train case is a fantastic organizational piece for people of all ages.  We will use Annie’s Soft and Stable to create a structured case with a zipper closure and interior pockets.  You can choose to add the optional piping to add a custom detail and master a new skill.

Some prep work is needed, so please come in to purchase any needed supplies prior to class. All necessary supplies are in stock and available at a 10% discount for registered attendees. A complete supply list is below:

~ Crimson and Clover Train Case Pattern by Sew Sweetness  (I suggest everyone make the medium case, 8” long x 5” tall x 6” deep)

~ 1/2 yard Exterior Fabric (quilting cotton or slightly heavier)

~ 1 yard Lining Fabric (quilting cotton weight)

~ Fat quarter yard for Piping (optional)

~ 1-1/4 yards of 20” wide Pellon SF-101 fusible woven interfacing

~ 1/2 yard By Annie’s Soft and Stable

~ 1/4 yard Pellon #70 for top and bottom of case (optional)

~ 2 yard cotton cording for piping (optional)

~ 26” exterior zipper (Try to use a Nylon Zipper, at least for the first case)

 ~ 9” interior zipper

~ Thread which coordinates with both interior and exterior fabrics
~Sewing Machine with Zipper Foot and size 14 needle
~Basic Sewing Kit
~Clover clips

Please cut all pieces and adhere iron-on interfacing to the back of the appropriate pieces prior to class (we will attach the Soft and Stable in class). It could easily take the full first session to cut pieces, and we will need that time to begin the case construction.
