Quilted Zipper Pouch Workshop with Rachel Wallis

Learn basic quilting skills and sewing skills while creating a one-of-a kind zipper pouch! In this class we will piece and machine quilt two “friendship braid” squares, and then use them to create a lined zipper pouch that is perfect to hold your makeup, toiletries, or crafting supplies! Some sewing experience suggested.

Class will be held in two 3.5 hour sessions:

First Class: Piecing and quilting the panels

Second Class: Inserting the zipper and completing the pouch.

Supplies: Students should bring a fat quarter for lining material and a variety of scrappy material for the quilt squares, matching or contrasting thread, and a 12 inch regular (not invisible) zipper. Scrap batting will be provided by instructor.

Students should bring their own sewing machines with zipper foot, or store machines can be used with advanced notice.
